Turning Leaf Behavioral Health Services is Hiring a Human Resource Coordinator Near Lansing, MI

Under the supervision of the Human Resource Manager:

  • Recruitment: Facilitate and attend hiring events, as needed. Utilize creative outlets and marketing efforts to ensure optimal flow of applicants for available positions at all times. Ensure job postings are relevant, accurate, and thorough align with current program needs.
  • Applicant Tracking Process: Utilize applicant tracking system to review, contact, and schedule appropriate applicants for interviews with appropriate program location. Utilize applicant tracking system to notify all applicants of hiring decision(s).
  • Pre- Hire Process: Assists with new hire paperwork process as needed: Ensure pre-hire documentation is accurate and complete. Run background checks per MILTC standards, coordinate/schedule (if required) physical/drug/TB tests.
  • Ensure employee tracking, HR database administration, training records, etc., is up-to-date at all times. Ensure Post-Hire information is collected per policy.
  • Ensure initial source verification and annual credentialing of employed and contracted clinical licensed or other certified staff.
  • Ensure employee files are accurate and up-to date; treating all as confidential: secured and always supervised.
  • Manage Turning Leaf Communications & Marketing.

Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. is required. Possession of an Associate’s Degree or two years of post-secondary education is preferred. Two years of experience in an administrative support role or equivalent required. Must have a pleasant speaking voice; an ability to handle difficult situations/people and numerous interruptions in a courteous and professional manner. This position requires proficient computer skills, typing, proofreading, accuracy and must demonstrate appropriate independent judgment and decision making. Excellent customer service skills are highly preferred. Must be able to communicate accurately and effectively, both verbally and in writing. The ideal candidate will hold proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite.

Requirements: Must have valid Michigan driver’s license and ability to pass background check and health screening prior to hire.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
